Plexamp ios 4.12 playing two songs at once

Server Version#: 1.41.5.9522
Player Version#: 4.12.0
Finding that every 5-8 songs played the app starts two songs at the same time and pressing skip goes to the whatever song is up next and cancels the current song. Then going back to previous song starts both songs playing again. Looking through logs I only get “[0x6c9ef000] ERROR - BASS: Error [BASS_Mixer_ChannelFlags(channel(), 0, BASS_MIXER_PAUSE)] - 5” randomly throughout the day.

Please post a complete plexamp log.

Yeah, we’d need complete logs to do anything. if it’s super easy to reproduce, wait until it happens and then upload Plexamp logs without stopping playback or anything else, while the two tracks are overlapping.

Happened again today a couple more times after the first time when I pulled the logs.

So if I look a your logs, I see Sweet Fades doing some overlapping.

Some of those overlaps are in the 5-15 second range.

Is this possibly what you’re noticing?

Thank you for the help. I turned off Sweet Fades and have not had the problem since. I am shocked that in the four years I have been using Plex and Plexamp, this has been my only bug. Keep up the great work.

FWIW, this bug is fixed in the next release. Turning off Sweet Fades essentially prevents the bug from manifesting, usually when you have Sweet Fades enabled and strict mode for Sample Rate Matching.

Hi,

I’m still experiencing this issue on 4.12.3 when using the android app to control my headless plexamp on Ropieee using a raspberry pi 4.
I have tried disabling Sweet Fades, but the issue persists. I don’t want to turn strict mode off because I have music in various sample rates and bit depths and I’d like to preserve those when playing through my sound system.
Is there anything else I can do to solve this, or is the bug related to using the plexamp app to control a headless plexamp instance?

What exactly is the issue? Is it overlapping the tracks completely, or only a little bit? Post Plexamp logs after it occurs so we can have a look.

So, they overlap each other. It mostly happens when the new track is 24/96 and the next is 44.1/16. I’ll get the logs and post it.

Here are logs where the last track played: “Lajos Lencsés and Gisèle Herbert / Berceuse op. 16 für Oboe und Harfe (Original für Violine und Klavier)” was overlapping with the next one “Tchaikovsky / Act 3: Final (Mazurka)”

And only happens when strict mode is on?

are you running ropieee beta channel or standard release?
i think standard release is still using headless plexamp version 4.12.0

I’ve only run in strict mode. I’ll test with smart mode.

I set it to beta to check if this was the issue. But it hasn’t auto update, when I get the beta I’ll try it again.

we’d need the logs from the headless device, sorry for not being more clear.
