Frequently when I skip a track, the app will continue playing the previous track quietly while also playing the next track over it. Pausing, then playing again does not fix it. Stopping and then playing again does not fix it. I have to stop, force close the app, and relaunch it.
This has been going on for years. I can’t be the only one. How has it not been fixed??? Why are you charging money for this app if bugs in basic functionality are no longer being fixed???
Thanks for replying. All mp3s. Happens in playlists, both shuffling and sequential play. It only happens after at least 2-3 tracks have played, and letting the screen lock maybe seems to trigger it.
Is it possible to get the server logs and the iOS logs after it starts to happen. I let a playlist go just now for about 30 min that was about 10 songs and I cannot reproduce any overlap.
The issue occurred today and I captured some logs right after. The logs appear to contain sensitive info. Is there any way I can get them to you besides posting here?
This anomaly WAS pretty frequent in past iterations of PlexAmp but no longer is true but was also happening in the regular Plex app. I have come across more posts about it being an issue with the regular Plex app though.
It occurs when the user is quickly changing tracks… perhaps way too fast than intended.
It results in the app having its own heart palpitation, causing a previous track to play under the most current.
I’ve suggested to others to force close PlexAmp or the Plex app as a solution but their reply to that was often annoyed.
Again, PlexAmp no longer has this issue but it still remains in the Plex app.
