I’m using the Plex app 6.14.1.3753 and PMS 1.11.3.4803, both on the Shield 2017 (non-Pro) running Shield Experience 6.3 (in other words, the latest of everything available on that platform).
If I skip forward repeatedly in 30s jumps using the Shield remote (right on the pad), skipping starts as really responsive but then starts to introduce small delays. If I continue skipping eventually playback hangs and the only remedy is to restart both the player and PMS.
This is happening on HD recordings from Plex DVR on UK HD recordings (h.264, AAC_LATM).
Not sure if this is a Player problem or a PMS problem, or the interactions between the two.
I find similar but don’t need to restart things. It’ll skip forward reasonably fast at first, but a few clicks leads to it really slowing down. I always find going backwards very slow too and will often get the message that the server isn’t fast enough. I’m also on a shield in the UK.
@sixones any thoughts on this? Do you need logs?
Some logs and a sample would be great, I was going to say we have a known seeking issue in the latest 6.15 beta for Live TV but seeking with 6.14 on DVR content should be working as it used too.
Hmm. With the latest updates to the Plex player and PMS I can’t reproduce the problem.
As those of us used to debugging know, this doesn’t mean that the underlying cause is fixed … just that it might no longer be apparent.
I’ll keep an eye out in case it happens again and supply logs and a sample then.
Hmm I’m not sure we have done anything to fix the specific issue you have reported. If it happens again please let us know with some logs and a sample and I will see if i can replicate.

Is the Live TV seeking issue reported elsewhere in the forums? I searched before posting http://forums.plex.tv/discussion/312647/live-tv-time-shifting-broken-in-6-15-0-3852 so as not to duplicate reports and came up empty. Of course, no one commented on my post either. Just wondering if there’s any update on this, or a post elsewhere discussing it
