Player Version#: 4.44.2
As of the last several versions, new movies do not receive the full set of metadata, unless I manually click “Refresh Metadata.” I don’t know the exact version that it started happening, but it has been a couple weeks since it started happening.
I am including 2 screenshots to show immediately after import, and then after manually refreshing metadata.
I’m experiencing the exact same issue. I also have Server Version#: 1.20.3.3437 and Player Version#: 4.44.2.

Having the same issue, but even manually refreshing metadata is not working. Downloaded a movie 22 days ago and still, it’s missing all extras/metadata, and will not search for subtitles.
I’m seeing the same issue. Server version 1.20.3.3437 on Linux (CentOS 7.8). The movie initially gets added with a low-resolution poster and no cast/extras. If I refresh metadata on the movie, the rest of the details are picked up properly.
I’ve learned something new, at least in my particular situation. Are any of you using the plex-autoscan script? If so, it seems it is not compatible with the new Plex scanner. I switched to using the new script (just called Autoscan) and that has fixed the problem for me.
Actually, yes, I am!! Where do you get the new autoscan script? I’m not seeing anything about it on the plex-autoscan github.

But keep in mind, it’s a complete rewrite and requires a completely different configuration.

I’m using the “Plex Movie” scanner and the “Plex Movie” agent.
