[BUG REPORT] Position Tracking, Last Played Rarely Tracks

Issue presented itself following purchase of Nvidia Shield Pro 2019.

Player frequently fails to track the last played position of video files including if the file. Usually get an error message when one episode ends and the next begins. File will play fine once I reattempt manually but any tracking of playing the previous file fails. Another issue I’ve noticed that is possibly related, when the next episode of the show is queued up with a countdown, oftentimes the video will play under the overlay for a few seconds rather than waiting the full 10 seconds to begin playback.

Was using the Samsung Smart TV App before this, then a short time using the Xbox One and PS4 apps. All were able to sync my last position and track. I’ve tried the most recent stable build then joined the beta to find the issue is still present. Fault was present in both

Plex was the driving force behind my purchase of the Shield as I want best audio pass-through compatibility. It’s a shame this is spoiling an otherwise excellent experience because as good as the audio compatibility is, I find myself getting frustrated over this issue more frequently than I am impressed by the android tv experience.

I see a number of similar topics (that don’t quite match my configuration so I can’t add my comments to the same topic) that unfortunately don’t go answered. Please fix.
