My Server wont scan one of my tv shows even though the show is in the same as my other shows, it has only done this since new server update. First the recommended tab on films wasnt working now this! I am getting tired of this and the only change i have made is having my localappdata stored on an external drive. why is it doing this?
That’s a rather big change which can cause issues if the external drive is slow to react or your Windows tends to “loose” USB ports (e.g. during sleep/hibernation).
Your show not showing up can however have a number of other reasons. Reading the forum, the most common one seems to be about file naming / folder structures. As an example… Plex will ignore files in a tv-show type library that don’t contain a sXXeYY pattern (where XX is the season and YY is the episode number).

The problem with the program was even tho the shows were different names they showed as one name on the server
