On all other clients that I own the subtitle offset feature works as expected.
if the subtitle appear to early I need to adjust it in a positive direction (+50ms increments). and the opposite for a subtitle that appears to late (-50ms increments).
however. on the web client the opposite adjustments need to be made in order to sync up the subtitle.
in addition to this mix up the web player seems to not use the predefined offset and streams the subtitle as if it didn’t have any offset unless it’s modified while watching. this adjustment will be kept for other players but when played again on the web player it will ignore the offset.
steps to reproduce:
play a movie on the web player using a subtitle that is 2000ms ahead of the movie(chrome or edge).
move the subtitle offset by +2000ms, observe an increased desync instead of a correct sync.
reset the subtitle and move it -2000ms, observe a correctly synced subtitle.
stop the stream.
restart the stream and notice the same
