[bug] WebPlayer - No Chrome Devices

Server Version#: 1.15.1.710
Player Version#: 3.83.1
My situation:

  • Newest server installed
  • No chrome devices (I’ve 3) are shown in the WebPlayer
  • In the Chrome browser itself, all 3 are visible
  • load-media-router-component-extension = “enabled”
  • A lot of JS errors, like:

etc.

The Android mobile player sees the chrome-cast devices fine.

Please fix, thank you

Use this web app version: app.plex.tv

I’ve tried it and it doesn’t work. I guess because my NAS is NOT exposed to the internet - and I also don’t want to open any ports out->in on my LAN.

When will be this bug fixed? It makes absolutely no sense to use an external website just to be able to access my internal LAN devices.

Thank you

UPD: I’ve actually installed a cert onto my Plex server - and I can connect through HTTPS, as my machine is trusting my own CA at my pfSense.

The app.plex.tv still can NOT play my media, as it tells me, my Plex server is not accessible - WTF, I can open it from the browser and it plays just fine.

Also my Android Plex app plays, from the same server, to the same CC devices. So it must be possible to play also from the browser!

Any input on this? I can send the logs to the DEV, but I don’t see any official support, just these forums.
