since i did everything you asked me to do and it still doesn’t work, do you want to keep blaming me since it started after version1.32.5.7516? I’d like to know what changed with actor credits from 1.32.5.7516 to the next version to break it, and I’d like to know how this is my fault when I set up a new server with the latest version and it still wont show my server first unless i click back and forth and wait 40 minutes while it scans my libraries every time i click a actor.
They are busy developing a new version of the Plex app (which I don’t like), and this new version is planned to replace the existing Plex app across all platforms. As a result, they have stopped addressing many of the bugs in the current app. I also have some other minor bugs that I submitted over six months ago, which seem like very easy fixes (in my opinion). However, no one has worked on fixing them because the new product is about to replace the old one, so they are unwilling to spend time resolving issues in the old version. This is my perspective.
My plan is to continue using the old version and stop upgrading any of my Plex apps because the version I’m using now mostly meets my needs. The new version of Plex is increasingly not what I want, so I won’t be upgrading anymore. I just hope the old version can continue to run smoothly.

I remade my database it FAILED with the same issues, i did what ■■■■ who closed the DM said to do and it didnt work, at this point i want my money back or the actor credits fixes since its a PROVEN fact after thiis version actor credits dont work unless SOMEHOW DISCOVERY WORKS, and i didnf pay to recreate 5 libraries for when they sold oiut 18 months ago,. F these people, i want a refund, i’l go to Leia caue a pure fresh server is ALWAYS MY PROBLEM, cant be a plex issue, i want to move on and get my money back since they refuse to research or fix this and good luck to you with your problem they wont fix

and FYI, you need to go read about this issue on reddit, i’m not the only one with it, and im not the only one you’re ignoring about it, there are a BUNCH of threads about how you guys wont answer why the new discovery doesnt work on databases, especially HUGE databases. and then blame the person running the server.
So stop lying and saying this isn’t a issue since you wont/dont respond to the people from reddit with lifetime plex passes or shadow ban them like you did to me
go look on reddit, this IS a widespread problem not just on windows but other platforms as well and they all say you ignore them. so flag this post too since you dont want anyone to know there are major issues with the server.

For the record you are not shadow banned. And the issue is not being ignored. We are aware of it and it is something we hope to address at Some stage. Getting angry and being abusive to folks does you no favours and certainly doesn’t make your issue any more valid that it is already. So all I ask is you accept the fact that we have logged the issue and we have noted that it is reproducible with a new huge database.

so ok, it’s been THREE YEARS now and you keep adding new features and wont fix actor credits, i have to run a three year old server, keep old android and android tv apps to sideload since now you have to have a server over 1.41 to even connect.
Whats going on? why wont you ever address my issue? do you not care cause i got a cheap plex pass and dont need to pay extra now? my plex folder has MILLIONS of files in it, i have 3/4 a petabyte of content and i keep having to revert cause IT WONT SHOW ACTOR CREDITS correctly! If this is the way its going to be i might as well go to jellyfin until they they start to charge then go to the next opensource thing since im sure at some point you are going to screw me to force me to upgrade to a version that doesnt work or blame my server even though i provided multiple databases to you.
NO wonder the reddit forum is FURIOUS over what you did with the android update (lucky me, I got a mobilism apk of the last version that isnt signed so it wont update and i disabled all my verizon boxes and firesticks from updating)

This is a 3 year old bug that they say is fixed. It still happens on the client and I every time i try a new server version it wont show my server credits. I refuse to update past 1.32.7516 and I have old versions of the android app that arent signed so I can have them sideloaded and they wont even show up as updates.
I do thank you for banning my IP so I can’t log in to satisfy the complaints unless I use a VPN (yet you send me constant emails that I cant unsubscribe from since you banned that IP)I filed but there are ways around that.
But yes, it’s still a plex problem, they wont fix it, they will just add new features and break things that worked, add new features that will probably break things and want you to pay more.
