Buyed a Plex License. After Install Access Denied. Cant setup

Server Version#: 1.18.2.2041-r2
Player Version#:

I already had the problem one post ago.
So i cancled my Plex Abo and created a new one.
Even with this “new” created and payed Abo “39€” i cant setup plex, to add own
media libraries.
I get “access denied. please be sure to logged in with user that has enough rights”

so what??? not enough rights?
i payed for it. and then get no support.

i also disabled firewall, but no healing. “access denied”
even a trick from this forum dont worked >“log out, do an incognito tab and login…”
Nothing works.

Anyone knows a working tipp?
when i click on “+ Add own media” i just get a page to “donwload” server plex.
i am so disapointed and feel cheated for 39€ … :frowning:

Need more info here about server distro, IP net in use, as well as if browser used to claim PMS is on the same IP Net

Signing into the forum and, within 39 minutes, have two of us here.
This is “No Support” ?

Please repond to Dane22’s question and we’ll work from there.

Additionally, I would like to know if:

  1. Downloaded and installed from the Ubuntu store?
  2. A Docker ?
  3. A VM ?
  4. Native host?

Hi @ChuckPa,
1.) Installed on Gentoo Linux from the “comio” overlay
GitHub - comio/plex-overlay: Plex Media Server & more for your Gentoo Linux

2-3) No
4) Yes on a standalone Server.

@dane22:

Linux Gentoo, Kernel 5.4.2 , with a single IP in a /26 Subnet
Used Chromium Version 78.0.3904.97 / Firefox 70.0.1 (64-Bit) ( both on manjaro linux)
Server is hosted by an ISP. I had PMS running by the same Hoster where it was running
until i had to move to a new server.
On the new Server i reinstalled PMS and thought “easyyy, just install and go…”.

if you need more info, tell me.

I dont get it why i get “access denied (No Soup for you) and my valid payed account has not “enough” rights”… :frowning:

Note that it’s not an officially supported Distro!

To claim a PMS, you must do that on an IP Net, that is in PIA, or loopback

Try this:

https://support.plex.tv/articles/200288586-installation/#toc-2 and look at the tunnel stuff ( On a Different Network )
