Cant setup fresh server because access is denied

Server Version#: latest
Player Version#: Web
Hi all,
First of all: I am using a hetzner cloud server based on debian 10.
I had some servers in the past and never had problems with plex itself just with my data sources.
With the last server I had I suddenly yould not access it anymore. It said I have no access because I may not be logged in with a user that has the rights to access it. (dont know exactly what the error is in english because I have a german setup)

At this time I was using pgblitz(plexguide) and thought it was some problem with its setup.

So I mad a fresh installation (without pgblitz) and got the same error again.
At this time I was so pissed about problems in the past that I told my self â– â– â– â–  it I am going to leave it for a while.

Now I bought Plex Pass lifetime due to the discount they are offering at the moment and wanted to setup a new server. This time I did not want to use pgblitz anymore because they do so much in the background that debugging on system level is much more difficult.

So I installed a new hetzner server added my user and downloaded and installed Plex Server for ubuntu/debian.

I checked the service is running and went to :32400/web/ and got the same error again.
there is no firewall running at the moment (at least everything is open) so I dont know whats the problem.

Since there is no direct support from Plex as far as I have seen I wanted to know if anybody has experienced the same issues and maybe a solution for this?

As I described its a complete fresh installation (os and Plex) and I have done nothing besides adding another (sudo) user and installing Plex Server from there.

I appreciate any help you can give me because it is getting really frustrating.

BR and thanks in advance
Tim

Since the server is remote, you probably need to perform the initial setup via an SSH tunnel. See the “On a Different Network” section of this document:

Well I love you…
It works… I did read that section before and tried it but seems that I have messed sth up with the tunneling…
Nevertheless I think something changed here right?!
Because I never used tunneling and it worked all the time on remote cloud servers at the same provider…

Thank you very much!

No problem, glad it worked for you.
