Camera Upload on iOS not grabbing new photos

Server Version#: 1.20.2.3343
Player Version#:7.6.1
iOS14

Camera is enabled and set to automatically upload. I have a valid PlexPass account. I have Google Photos automatically copying my images as well as iCloud. I’ve disabled both for the sake of testing.

When I take a new photo on my iOS device it shows up on my phone in photos, however nothing gets uploaded to Plex. I’ve confirmed that photos are stored locally on my phone by connecting it to a computer and going to Apple iPhone\Internal Storage\DCIM\100APPLE.

I’ve tried disabling automatic upload and prompting the upload manually, but nothing is uploaded. I’ve uninstalled the app, reinstalled, and reconfigured. Same behavior.

All testing has been over WiFi, but I’ve had ‘upload over cellular’ enabled so that shouldn’t be a factor. I’ve tested over cellular just in case and had the same results.

I’m at a loss here and could use some help.

UPDATE: I’ve now tried setting up photo upload to two separate Plex Servers: one on a ReadyNas and one on a Windows machine. I’ve set up Camera Upload from an iOS14 (running 7.6.1) phone and an iOS12 iPad mini (running 7.3.1) and I’m getting the same behavior. This is maddening.

We are multiple people seeing the same problem here. This is a bug in PMS and Plex for iOS. I would suggest you join this thread.
