I’m starting to really appreciate Plex but admit I don’t know it as well as I should.
I have a over a thousand movies I’ve broken into collections. I like alphabetical by default but sometimes might want to view them in different orders when I am in a particular collection.
Can I add that item?
You can only customize per collection if the item are displayed by name (sort title) or release date (see ... > Advanced > Collection order).
For the full “power” of library functions you’ll best navigate those items within the main library. You can already filter your library by genre and various other parameters without manually moving them into a collection. If this is a more specific collection you can also filter the library by that collection and sort it according to your liking.
Beyond that there’s a feature suggestion to include filter/sorting options for playlists and collections.
