So far I haven’t found how to do this with plex.
I have a TV connected to my PC’s video card as a 2nd monitor. I open up my media in VLC and set it so the audio plays through the TV rather than my PC speakers.
Is there any way for Plex to do this? I much prefer using Plex than VLC.
I suppose you’re using Plex Media Player on your PC?
If so… when in fullscreen/tv mode, go to Settings > Audio (settings are accessible by clicking on your account name in the top-right corner). There should be an option called Device. If your PC sees the TV as an actual audio device, it should also be available in this setting.
I don’t think I’m actually using Plex Media Player, I’m just accessing Plex thru the web at port 32400 by double clicking on the plex icon in my status tray.
Plex Web will use the default audio device of your PC.
