Make Windows Plex Media Player Audio Settings Persistent

Not sure the best place to post this, but my request is that the Audio Settings for Plex Media Player don’t reset to “Auto select device”. The Audio Device will change from “AV Receiver (Intel® Display Audio)” to “Auto select device” when Plex Media Player is running and either:

I unplug the display cable (Displayport to HDMI cable), or
I remote desktop to this computer running PMP

If PMP is not running and I unplug or remote desktop it will not cause the settings to change.

Is there any way to have this setting “stick” and not automatically change after a remote desktop connection or unplugging the HDMI cable?

I posted this at the link below but it didn’t seem to be getting many views so wanted to try this route to make sure the Plex team sees this.

Windows Plex Media Player Audio settings are not sticking

In Settings → Player → Audio I’m trying to have the Audio Device always set to my AV Receiver, HDMI, 5.1. I’ve selected “Exclusive Audio” and I’m passing through all the digital audio.
