Can live TV replace my OTA and Cable TV coverage?

I have cable now, and have tried Over The Air TV recently. OTA gives me a grand total of 3 stations where I am. Cable, to get any number of stations if costing me an arm and a leg.

What I am wondering with Plex Live TV can I get the same US networks I get now on Cable (I can not get any of them with an antenna) or do I still need cable to get them? How does Plex Live compare to Roku, or Apple TV?

Plex does not provide the content. The content comes from your antenna (OTA). You need to supply the tuner with a signal to receive them so if you only get 3 channels that is what you’ll get with this as well.

With Roku and Apple TV, you still also need to provide/pay for content. You can either get content OTA or through Cable as well, but you still need a subscription.
