Upgraded to Plex server Version 1.18.1.1973 and can no longer cast Music to Google mini, Google audio or Google home. I can cast music to a Chromecast. No problem connecting, progress bar is counting down but no sound. (Android app)
This occurs from the Android app, Plex web and the Plex server itself. Roku, Firetv all work.
Where do I start to troubleshoot this issue. Thanks
The exact same thing happens to me, same server version. I have 6 home minis and I can’t cast audio to any of them from the android app nor the web interface. It’s just the spinning wheel doing its thing and playback never starts. For some reason, casting audio to my nest hub works.
My guess is the nest hub can handle video, chromecast plugged into my amp works fine.
Hopefully this gets noticed and fixed asap
Same problem. I can say it’s not related to the PMS update as my issue began before the update, and continues after it. Plex to any of my Chromecasts has stopped working completely. Chromecasts work fine from other sources.
Same for me. Problem started before the update. I even made it to solve the problem… I tried to reinstall DSM on my Synology, reset the chromecast (audio) without solving the problem… But i feel less alone since i’ve read your post.
