This is absolutely ridiculous! Why is all of a sudden my server not responsive after changing my password? Now I can’t connect to my password, most of the stuff I try to do with Plex never works the way it’s intended to do. It’s becoming a very monumental pain in the rear to deal with this.
Can I have a clear-cut explanation to this, please?
yeeppp, me too, i change my password from my account plex and now, my account can’t find my server… is ridiculous!!!
I just went through this same rigamarole. It seems if you change the password on your account, the server can no longer be found (perhaps because the server password is still the same as before, and the mismatch leads to the server unavailable status??). I tried everything from restarting server from command line, to restarting computer, to resetting the password back to the original, and that seemed to finally work. However it’s discouraging to think that a simple password change breaks the whole enchilada. Even more discouraging is the lack of support from any of the Plex administrators/developers. Like OP said, there are an endless list of “pains in the rear” that are really putting me off the Plex system. After all the time I’ve invested in to customizing my movie and music collection, I would hate to have to start all over again with another media server solution.
I have the same problem. Somebody should answer asap, please!
