Changed password...no server?

I changed my password and when I logged in Plex can’t find my server.
So, I rebooted and logged in again. It accepted the password, but now I’m in an infinite loop looking for my servers (I have a physical server on this machine AND a Plex Cloud.
Should signing on for the first time after changing my password take this long?

did you ever figure this out? happening to me

On the machine hosting the Plex server type http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in a web browser (something other than Internet Explorer). You should get a message that you have an unclaimed server and are offered the option to reclaim it. Then you’ll be prompted for your Plex login credentials. Once that’s successful you should be back in business.

This is what I had to do when I recently changed my Plex password anyway…

Where are you able to change your password? I’m logging into the forum using my Google credentials. I want to change that. But for the the life of me I can’t find the place to change the password, only my user name. Or am I just locked in, and will need to create a new user to change the password methodology? Thanks in advance!

In Plex Web go to Settings>Account. You can edit your Plex password there.

Worth noting that I don’t use my Google credentials for Plex…

Thanks, I’m not sure we’re on the same ‘page’. I’m literally on the forum–here–and I want to change the forum credential from Google to my own password. But, when I go to the upper right to my avatar, I see ‘Preferences’ where I can change my username (and see my associated email account)…but not my password. ‘Profile’ doesn’t let me do it either. Am I missing something, or is the forum user password ‘hardcoded’ to the account? (Never seen that before) It’s either that or I’m going blind

Changing my password in Plex Web also changes it for the forum. I don’t have separate passwords for each.
