Plex now offers the chance to cast to Sonos with a Plex Pass which I have, and I can see my various Sonos speakers within Plex, but it will not play. If I access Plex files from the Sonos Mac Controller, it works fine. Point being, I want to scroll through Plex and play music to my Sonos from Plex and not the other way round.
I am unable to establish remote access also. Not sure if this is related? I only want to play music within my own home network. I have searched endlessly for solutions to this problem, but no luck.
Hoping someone here can help
Many thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I am experiencing this issue via the iOS web app also. I can see my Sonos speakers within the app, I select one and I just get a spinning wheel. Whereas I fire up Spotify and cast to Sonos with no problem via the same speaker selection process.
As I was exploring this, I found a workaround. I selected my iPhone from âchoose a playerâ and then hit the Airplay button next to it, from there I can select my Sonos speaker locations. If I go back and try and select one of my Sonos speakers directly from the player selection within Plex, I get the same response, a spinning wheel and Plex moving through the album titles without connecting or playing.
I experienced this exact same problem (sonos app works but not plex app, spinning wheel, etc) and found the way plex interfaces with sonos was being blocked by my router (rebind protection). The solution was to add âplex.directâ to the rebind protection whitelist. On my router it was under DHCP and DNS settings.
By the way, I found it quite hard to find this bit of information. Maybe I read the various support pages too quickly, but somehow I nowhere saw this information of what the address that has to be entered in a routers rebind protection actually is.
