i try to do this but it stil says season 1 not part 1 ?
Please explain a bit more verbosely, what you are trying to achieve.
like this
Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Plex only knows seasons and episodes.
What kind of “parts” are these? What is the source?
i could do just season 1 season 2 season 3 as part 1 part 2 part 3 but i wanted it to be Part 1 for season 1 part 2 for season 2 part 3 for season 3
Sorry, you lost me there.
This is one of those Netflix shows which they break up into parts instead of calling them seasons. “The Ranch” is another example. Unfortunately, in this case, parts are not synonymous with seasons as TheTVDB has parts 1 and 2 combined under season 1 and part 3 as season 2. Weird. They do have an alternate order defined as “Parts,” but as far as I know Plex doesn’t support TheTVDB’s alternate orders, yet (though I think there may be a feature suggestion other there for it to).

Thank you @pshanew for explaining it!
Yes, Plex doesn’t support custom episode ordering.
So the best way for now is to look up the traditional season and episode number of each episode at TheTVDB and rename your files accordingly.
check netflix under Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina then u know what i mean ![]()
o ok i just made a season 1 2 3 folder then its the same netflix only has it in parts. season 1 has 11 episode season 2 9 and season 3 8
No, you have to make it match what TheTVDB has on its Seasons tab, so just seasons 1 and 2. You’ll have to put all of parts 1 and 2 in your season 1; part 3 will go in season 2. Just follow the season naming/numbering on TheTVDB.
Season one will have episodes 1 - 20; season two will have episodes 1 - 8.
if you make it Season 1 - Part 1 would plex reconize it that way? or els i do just season folder like i always do.
ye i know that i use plex for a long time i just wanted to know if the part 1 would be able to do i know season 1 episode goes in season 1 folder xd
ok got it wil do it like that

For reference, here’s how TheTVDB has their seasons 1 and 2 set up:
This will allow the shows to match what TheTVDB has for its season structure. Plex doesn’t understand alternate orders on TheTVDB, just original, DVD, and absolute orders.
as long as the episodes are in the correct order, who cares if there are ‘parts’ or ‘seasons’ ?
/boggle
It’s a big “meh” to me. But the question was asked.
I had a look a few of the forum threads over at TheTVDB where they discussed this series. It was interesting as usual; as was their reasoning.
ye normallyt you would think season 1 is 11 episode then it starts from S02E01 etc should be in season 2 folder but it has to be in season 1 folder xd
plex and the tvdb do have ‘seasons’ order, ‘dvd’ order, and ‘absolute’ order.
for this particular show, tvdb does even have ‘parts’ order.

however plex itself, does not support the ‘parts’ listing.
thnx i wil just put part 1 and part 2 in season 1 folder and part 3 in season 2 folder like u said i wil see how that goes.
