Can PlexConnect show two servers in a net...simultaneously?

Hi, again.

I have two PMS running in a same net, both of them connected and working fine. One IP's adress is 192.168.1.2  (a Mac), and the other one's, a Xpenology NAS, is 192.168.1.32.

And I can see any of them in my ATV, but not at the same time: I can only see the one with it's DNS selected: If I set, in my ATV DNS 192.168.1.2 I see my Mac Library, and if I change it to 192.168.1.32, I see Xpenology's Lybrary.

 

But I have to switch DNS every time. Is this right, and the way it should be, or there's something wrong? I'm not sure this is really an issue...

It only happens to PlexConnect, both servers can be seen together in any computer in my net, and in an iPad, also.

Well, PlexConnect has to run just once. Enable PlexGDM and it should pick up (and show) both of your PMS libraries.

Or - if PlexGMD doesn't work in your environment - sign in both of your servers to MyPlex. Then sign in from your aTV as well - this should feed all your PMS addresses to PlexConnect/aTV as well.

Well, a couple of days ago I had a problem (PlexConnect couldn't "see" my PMS on my Mac ), and wahlman.j helped me with it, disabling PlexGDM, and it worked.

If I enable it again, my Mac's PMS turns "invisible", no matter wich DNS I use.

And both of my servers are signed in to my account, and my aTV as well.

I've tried also stopping PlexConnect from my NAS, and form my computer. No success at all.

It's not a big trouble, brecause I can always change my DNS, but...

Is your Mac's PMS set up to honor PlexGDM requests?

I had not seen this option before, but yes, it is set up to honor PlexGDM requests. Both servers are.

Well..it works now!

After all, I restarted my Mac, and everything seems to work fine!
