In the main Home display for Plex of every device we use the Recently Released Movies library never changes. Its been showing the same 3 movies for 5-6 months. There are at least 20 new movies in the library with properly noted release dates that are more recent than these. If it can’t be fixed can the Recently Released Movies section just be removed entirely? Its not really doing anyone any good.
The “Originally Available” dates are all accurate, as are the couple dozen movies that are newer than they are.
Is it possible to backup the database before “repairing” it? It seems like this is the only issue at all I’m having with Plex, everything else is running perfectly. I’d have to have some fluke problem come up trying to fix just this. (Although it is annoying lol)
** Follow up–I just found the instructions to back up the database. Still wondering if there’s any other possible reason for these movies being stuck.
All DB damage is bad. And once the rot has set in, it has the tendency to spread.
So if you don’t want to have a database which is one day damaged beyond repair, you better act now.
