I am beginning to think this whole “You can download with Plex TV for offline viewing” is just a big fat LIE!! I have downloaded PLEX TV to my laptop and Plex Media Player TWICE and I think I have looked everywhere on the site for this mysterious DOWNLOAD button and I do not see it. I dare any one here to prove to me that this really does work!!! I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU!!!
Do you have a plex media server set up with your content? If so, then your clients should all have a download icon (it’s a little down pointing arrow in a circle) whenever you go into a film or tv episode.

Make sure you have a halfway recent server version installed and use a Plex app which supports downloads (namely „Plex for Mac/Windows“ desktop app or Plex for Android/iOS mobile apps — not Plex Media Player!). On a mobile app you still might need to enable the „New Downloads“ option in the app settings.
For shared libraries, make sure to enable downloads for the applicable friends / managed users.

Navigate to a downloadable item inside the Plex app (see list above). Downloadable items are individual items like movies, episodes or albums, but also playlists, tv shows/seasons… for those you should see the download icon on the items details page (or it’s context menu for Plex for Mac/Windows)
