Can’t access Plex!!!

Load and says server nearby or not available in the living room. I first thought it was a update, but it was not. Not been able to access Plex for a month now. Please help. Is there a way to re-install
Plex a procedure or step that should be taken. If so let me if not tomorrow just gonna wipe it all. Thanks for any help you can give.

I am unsure what you have already tried.

Have you tried both urls:

  1. https://app.plex.tv/desktop

Have you restarted PMS, if not, the server it self? Not sure if your server is on linux:

sudo service plexmediaserver start
sudo service plexmediaserver stop
sudo service plexmediaserver restart

Have you ping your server ip address? From Windows, run CMD and type “ping 192.168..” … replace the stars with your IP. If the server is available on your network, you should see a response like this:

Reply from 192.168.1.123: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64

It could be any of the above or something else, but I would recommend trying these first. Reinstall should always be the last option.

Ok, have windows 10 on Alienware Laptop and Plex was running fine til a either a network issue or a update went thru.Going to go ahead and follow your instructions. Thank you for helping.

When I type in https://app.plex.tv/desktop Plex crashes it does not load.

So your Plex Media Server is running on your Windows 10 Alienware laptop? Or are you trying to access it using your laptop? If the latter, what is PMS running on?

Yes, running from alien laptop w/ windows 10. If running is installed and media on the same HDD. Then, PMS - 1.13.5023. Please help.

Just case needed 8gb ram, 1 TB HDD. Anything else.
