Can’t activate my plex purchase iOS with family member

I purchased the plex app back when it was something I had to purchase on the App Store. Now it’s an in-app purchase.

My app is working fine, but my wife just told me that on her account playback is limited.

I pressed the ‘restore purchases’ button on her phone but it said there wasn’t a purchase available.

On my phone when I press the ‘restore purchases’ button it says that ‘“plex for iOS is unlocked because you purchased an older version…”.

Is the family sharing not going to work because I bought it before it was an in-app purchase?

Any way around this?

Family Sharing did not work with the Plex app before it became an in-app activation so it’s not going to work now either.
