I am hoping some here is smarter then me. I am just getting Plex going for my set up. I am having issues with ripping 3D Blu Rays and getting it to work with my projector. Here is my set up and process.
Content- Jurassic World 3D Blu Ray
Ripping Software- DVDFAB12 (Win OS) Using Blu-Ray Ripper
Projector- Sony VPL-VW715ES
Plex Client- NVIDIA Shield TV Pro
When I rip using DVDFAB 12 I am using the BluRay ripper and choose MKV 3D profile (the one that says to use for TVs and projector).
When I view the content on my projector it’s side by side like a split screen showing the same content on each side (which is different when I play the BluRay 3D disc on my Sony 3D Blu Ray Player where it’s blurry to the naked eye but works perfect when wearing glasses watching the DVD through the Blu Ray player).
When watching on the NVIDIA and I try to manually activate the 3D button on my projector remote, the projector says not applicable (like it doesn’t acknowledge it’s seeing a 3D source). Hence it won’t work.
What am I doing wrong or is something I am using not compatible ? So frustrating. Shouldn’t the file when played through Plex on the NVIDIA shield produce the same blurry image until you put on the glasses? I love Plex but I was really hoping I could use it for 3D too.
Please help.
