Hi, just upgraded my iPad from an old Air 1 to the M3. On my old one, I bought the 4.99 dollars feature unlock years ago. Now I downloaded the app back and I would like to restore that functionality, but “restore purchase” doesn’t work at all. Any chance?
The new experience app isn’t locked, so there is not purchase to restore.
The old app (version 8.45 and previous) had a 1 minute playback limit if not unlocked. The new app imposes no such restriction.
It explicitly mentions “remotely”.
The “unlock” payment for the legcy app had a different purpose. It unlocked playback in general, no matter whether it was local or remote.
You can use the mobile app to stream for free from a Plex server that is within the same local network as your phone. i.e. you, at home, streaming from your own server
If you want to stream videos from a server that is not within the same local network as the server, (i.e. you outside of your home, or you trying to access a server which is not your own, but has been shared with you)
