Can’t see sources on mobile app

Old Iphone was damaged. Lost all apps and settings. New iPhone arrived. Downloaded the Plex app and logged in fine, but can’t see any of my source folders. Can just see Plex’s film an tv offerings. I can still view my folders on the laptop.

Make sure your Plex Media Server is up to date.
The latest public release (as of yesterday) is version 1.19.3. Older versions of PMS appear to cause some hiccups with the latest versions of Plex for iOS/Apple TV.

If your Plex Media Server is running on a NAS… yes.
According to how you categorized this post, your server is running on a Mac… in that case you’ll need to update the Plex Media Server app on that Mac.

For a Mac:

  1. download the latest version from the Plex homepage

  2. unzip the download
  3. move the app to your /Applications folder.

Ah, but I have no issue viewing the source folders on the Mac. Just the iPhone. And how do I update the app on the NAS? Im using WD my cloud. Was using the iPhone as a library and pinging it Chromecast

In that case it seems you need to wait for WD to provide that update. Until then all you can try to do is a good old reboot of the NAS to see if that will clear things out for the iPhone…

There’s an update available for Plex media player. I can download this, but can’t expand. Says is an unrecognized format?

Looks like you downloaded the WD MyCloud app to your Mac and try to run it from there?!
Try to do the update directly from within the WD MyCloud.

As for the issue not seeing content on Plex for iOS… you should also be able to update the Plex for iOS app to version 6.12.1 – that’ll remove incorrect minimum server version check that blocked your content before.
