Seems like another big miss for Plex…no, they’re not responsible for publishing the updates to WD, but you’d expect they would make the legacy application available. Sounds to me like anyone using MyCloud WD and IOS is basically screwed - and really due to Plex pushing stuff out without knowing all the effects.
Where are the Plex support specialists? The burden can’t fall on this community. You can’t leave a significant portion of your users without service!
Yeah this is painful. I can no longer watch Plex on my iPad but I can still from my AppleTV for some reason. Are Plex not responsible for pushing updates to WD?
Yep. Confirmed by finally updating the app on my phone, after having seen the version number on my MCH had jumped to 1.41.5 when I was sure it was 1.40 before (can’t remember).
Seeing your message gave me hope! and forced me to log in and verify that access was restored, glad it was only a short duration between iOS App rollout and Server update.
