Can you access subtitle sync through the UI (by remote) in the Plex Media Player?

Subtitles play a big part of my TV watching experience, and one big problem I still have is that there is no way to synchronize subtitles manually. I’ve found recently that there’s a keyboard shortcut to achieve this in the Plex Media Player (Alt + S, Alt + Shift + S), but I don’t know if there’s any way to access this functionality via the UI (so one can synchronize subtitles using a remote). Given the function has already been implemented in the back-end, adding a couple of buttons in the UI that trigger the shortcuts (Alt + S, Alt + Shift + S) should really be trivial.

I was wondering if there’s any intent to add this functionality into the Plex Media Player. If not, if it is felt like a useful feature to have (trust me, it is, esp for non-native speakers of any language), maybe it could be added to the list of ‘to-do’ items. That would be awesome!

Thank you!

Cheers, all!

Hardware, Setup: Windows 10 PC with Plex Pass and the (up-to-date) Plex Media Player accessed using a Logitech Universal Remote programmed in Media Center mode.

Thanks for the tip but ALT + S and ALT + SHIFT + S does not seem to do anything for me.

Sub sync is a very much wanted feature (in the Media Player and Plex Web)

Subtitle syncing is essential when there’s more than one version of a video source and they don’t all have the same timing. My old Western Digital media box from 2010 has this, but Plex doesn’t. Subtitles are useful not only with foreign language videos but for closed-caption for the hearing-impaired and making them work better should be a priority. Plex should consider adding this as a feature.
