Can you delete downloaded content while not connected to the server?

We were on holidays recently and my son’s device (iPod) was full. I wanted to delete some downloaded content to free up some space. He went through the motion twice but nothing happened. What he did was to go to the Downloads & Sync tab, clicked on Manage, (1) under the Synced Items section, swiped sideways and clicked on Delete and (2) under the Downloaded Items section, swiped sideways on a different video and clicked on Delete. Neither seemed to work. Before we left for holidays, I closed Plex and shut down the Plex computer. While away, he sometimes had internet and other times did not, but that didn’t see to matter. He couldn’t delete his certain videos.

Thanks in advance for any help from anyone.

I only offline sync music and use Plexamp. I can delete things when wifi and mobile data is entirely off. So I would assume you can with movies and TV.
