Is it possible to auto-create collections based on a movie’s folder?
So that all files stored in the “A” folder are automatically tagged as being in the “A” collection, and all movies stored in the “B” folder are automatically tagged as being in the “B” collection?

I’m curious - what’s the use case?
Have 5000+ instructional videos Organized in folders by the instructor?
Would like to easily tag every movie in each folder as a collection. So one could search by the instructor.

If it’s mp4/m4v files you could try to work with embedded metadata (e.g. tagging the instructor as actor/director → basic filters, or album → collection)
A lot of us want to disable Plex’ sorting way and have a folder view. If a file is physically in a certain folder, we can’t that folder replicated on Plex just like at home.
Film series would be in their own folder, series would be in their own folder.
