Cannot access Plex Media Server from my Wireless Streaming Amplifier

Hi All,
Im new new Plex and might not understand everything yet so please help me and try not to judge me :slight_smile:

I have a yamaha WXA 50 wireless streaming amplifier from which i cannot access Plex Media Server. The amp does discover the Plex Media Server but once i try to choose any folder it says “Access Denied” even though Remote Access is enabled in Plex settings. What could be the reason? The amp and Plex are all running on the same network. Thanks

You can only access the folders and media on a computer or program whether it’s stored on a hard drive or NAS and shared to where you can access it. The only way to access PLEX is either via a Plex Media Player, browser or any one of multiple official PLEX clients.

ohhh, DLNA i heard of it, but not sure hiw it works :frowning:

You turn it on… And using a client for dlna you browse to it. You can strean media from it

There’s a setting in your PLEX server called DLNA. Turn it on and see if it helps for you. I don’t use it so not sure.

Your wx50 appears to be a dlna client
