Cannot add .hack to plex

The current plex tv series scrapper refuses to find .hack from either TVDB or TMDB. only .hack//sign and a broken .hack//legend of the twilight. cannot find .hack//roots at all.
why is plex making it more difficult to find things? i cannot put in the # from either TVDB or TMDB or the methos is {tvdb-xxxxxxx} that even refuses to find it properly.

Beside the slashes // which make the file and folder name invalid, there is another thing in the name: a file or folder name starting with a dot is considered “hidden”.
Particularly on Linux (but in the interest of uniform behaviour, Plex on Windows is also ignoring such files/folders)

Remove the first dot and the slashes (maybe replace them by --), then append the TMDB or TVDB ID as {tvdb-xxxxxxx} to ensure a safe match.

i tried this it still didnt work any other solution? its still missing Season 1-3 only specials show up. This is the one i need to match with it just doesnt for some reason .hack - TheTVDB.com

Can you be specific on how you have your files named/organized. It seems fine to me. ( I just have 4 test files per season)

To add to BigWheel,

I just created a test series.

  1. No punctuation in the name . Kept it as hack SIGN
  2. Created one season with 10 episodes for simplicity
  3. No additional TVDB identification required

[chuck@lizum hack SIGN.2016]$ pwd
/glock/qa/tv/hack SIGN
[chuck@lizum hack SIGN.2017]$ ls -laR

I had it as hack and Season 1 folder etc well organized like all my files as i understand the mantra “garbage in garbage out”. Adding the {tvdb - 79099} to the folder name instead search fixed it. But i think ill try to rename it to hack SIGN and see if it will work

Make sure to perform the Plex Dance after mismatches and subsequent naming changes.

Will do thank you very much for the info great help

i dont see the clean bundles option is that okay? im using the web ui and plex player on windows

There is a link in the description of the dance where to find it.
You must perform all the steps, in the noted order, for the dance to be effective.

I got your message @Tenrai-Sensei I see what you mean about episode info not coming in for s2 and 3 using TVDB episode ordering. TheMovieDatabase (aired) episode order seems to work for now. I will let metadata team know about TVDB orders not pulling in episode info past season 1
