Plex Agent Refusing IMDB title match

Player Version#: (havent played Yet, its latest atm for Roku 11.0)

i’m trying to fix some of the bad matches in my library atm as its the first time using Plex (the server’s running on an small Acer Aspire in the closet), and i saw the tip when it cant patch based on metadata/title/filename, to fix the match and use IMDB’s ID.

Well im trying this for “.hack//Legend of the Twilight” which is ID: tt0419299 , but the agent refuses to find it even using this. general searching for .hack or Dot Hack, or the full title, only brings up a generic listing “.hack” which is for //SIGN. Is this because there’s no listing over on TVDB as well for //Legend of the Twilight ?

You can tell Plex to use season names if they are available. Edit the TV show library, choose Advanced, enable Use Season Titles.

Also, name the directories and files hack, not .hack.

/TV Shows
.../hack (2002) {tvdb-79099}
....../Season 01 <-- "Season" in English.  Two digits for season number.
........./hack (2002) - s01e01.ext  <-- sXXeYY mandatory.  ext = mkv/mp4/etc
....../Season 02
........./hack (2002) - s02e01.ext

tried that … it’s still giving no results found, i wonder if its something i buggered up in my install? sofar this is the only series i’ve added (im still adding more from my External drives along w/ a few i gotta wait till my larger HDD for the server, im quickly running out on the dinky little 500GB Drive the venerable little Acer Aspire came with.)

this did it! thanks! i got alot more to add n go thru once i upgrade the HDD allready XD, it’ll save me space off these older drives too moving it all to the server.

Because Plex completely ignores directories and files that begin with .

(And it’s best to leave problematic characters out. Don’t replace them with other things.)
