Cannot 'add your media to Plex' after router upgrade

Hi all,
I’ve recently upgraded my wifi router after connection to Aus NBN, and now when I go to add my NAS server folder to Plex it says to ‘get Plex media server’ although it’s already installed on the Synology NAS? I can access the NAS fine through Windows though. (All had been working fine prior to router upgrade, any help appreciated)!
Thanks

We’ll need some more details to dig into this situation…
How exactly were you accessing Plex when you experienced this issue? Is it still working if you use the Synology’s local IP address (e.g http://[Syno IP address]:32400/web)? I suspect this might be related to the new router having a different configuration (e.g. different IP band, some new subnet situation… there might be some issue with a remote access situation/configuration)…

Here goes…
I was watching a movie through the Plex app on my Samsung smart TV and was experiencing a few freezing issues which was unusual, so foolishly decided to reinstall the app on the TV, then couldn’t access the media library. Then also couldn’t access it through the NAS app via the web interface.
I can’t access is through the Synology local IP address, it also doesn’t allow me to ‘add your media to Plex’
Thanks

Hi,
Sorry been busy with work and haven’t had a chance to try this until now - got to line ‘7’ and all was good until I tried to claim server, now it says ‘This server is unclaimed and not secure’ ?
Thanks for your help.

Marshall

Hi,

Thanks

OK thanks, will try that.
I had seen the warning message, but thought that it related to that particular sub-folder only, not the whole Plex folder!
Cheers
