Cannot Cast from iOS Plexamp

Hi!

As the title of this post suggests, I am unable to cast anything from my iOS Plexamp to my Chromecast Audio. Plexamp is able to connect to Chromecast, but gets stuck rotating while trying to play anything. Casting from the regular Plex app works, however.

I’m also able to connect Plexamp to Chromecast after starting to play something from the Plex app, after which I can pause, skip etc using Plexamp. Starting a new song puts Plexamp into the same stasis. Playing from Plex is OK, I would love to use the playback features of Plexamp in my stereo tho.

Can you let me know how to troubleshoot this?

PS: I’ve also had problems controlling Plex on one platform using players on another platform/“flinging,” but that’s probably better solved with a new post.

Nothing? iOS Plex works great, but Plexamp doesn’t work more often that it does…

For me casting from Plexamp iOS app to Chromecast stopped working after update to iOS 15. Casting from android app works fine
