My current Plex Server Account email will be closed in 5 days. I tried to change my email address and got an error message that said my new email address was already taken. I had forgotten that I had created it for some unknown reason. I logged into my Plex account with the new email and requested an email password reset. I was able to log in and delete the account. When I tried to change to my new email, I still received the error that the email was taken. I waited a few days and still got the error. I am not sure what to do.
When you deleted your account, you where notified that the email could not be used for 30 days, and you also received a recovery email for the account
Use that recovery option, and bring the account back, then logon to it, and change it’s email to something bogies, and the email should now be free to use on the account with the Plex Pass
I have a similar issue and need similar assistance.
I have an account with a username/password login. Due to some issues I was having I created a new account using Sign in with Apple and created a new server. After testing using this ‘new’ account I deleted it.
I now use my ‘old’ account for everything but I’d like to use Sign in with Apple on that ‘old’ account.
Seeing your support article, I can manually link my account to SIWA or do it by changing my account email and then using SIWA.
I can’t do either because the email is already taken and I would assume in the 30 day process of being deleted.
Would it be faster (read; neater) to recover the SIWA account and change the email on that account or wait for the deletion of the account and then change the email on my ‘old’ account and then use SIWA and link them?
