Cannot claim server

Server Version#: 1.26.1.5798
OS: Windows 10

Hi
I’m been having the issue that i lost connection from my account with my server and am not able to restore it. I am fine with purging plex and fully reinstalling PMS but simply uninstalling ( Uninstall Plex Media Server | Plex Support ) and reinstalling doesnt work.

I’ve noticed PlexOnlineToken comes up empty in the registry editor. Attempts to restore this value have failed.

following this guide ( Why am I locked out of Server Settings and how do I get in? | Plex Support )comes up with an error that says that plex has trouble logging in:

additionally found all these kind of connection issues in the logs but haven’t found a way to resolve them:

Already done a lot of google searches but haven’t found anything that resolves my issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Last screenshot is a cosmetic error, that can be ignored

Please post PMS Logs right after a Claim attempt

Disconnect any VPN if one is installed / connected on the server.

Make sure your Plex server has a solid internet connection. You cannot claim a server without a connection to plex.tv. From the server console, can you login to your Plex account at https://app.plex.tv/desktiop?

Hi thanks for your reply. This is a log obtained right after claiming the server.
Plex Media Server.log (557.6 KB)

If you require any other log, please let me know. I did notice that the serve is having difficulty accessing plex.tv on port 443 but as far as i check, that port is reachable on my pc (using yougetsignal.com) using my public IP.

Kind regards

Thank you for your reply. Don’t really know how to access app.plex.tv/desktop from the server console, but that site is reachable from the desktop running PMS.

Kind regards

CA

That’s what I meant.

Apparently I spent too many years in IT…

From your log:

May 12, 2022 09:28:14.066 [5060] WARN - [HttpClient] HTTP error requesting POST https://plex.tv/api/claim/exchange?token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxp_HFSi (7, Couldn't connect to server) (Failed to connect to plex.tv port 443: Bad access)

Since this is a windows box, can you browse from it to https://plex.tv ?

As far as I can tell: yes, following the link simply redirects me to the webpage

Do you have any AntiVira solution running, that does http inspection?
And if so, try for a short test and disable that

I changed from Norton to Bitdefender somewhere in February but only started experiencing issues in late March so didn’t see the link. I’ll have to see how to provide exceptions for PMS in the future.

Thank you so kindly for pointing this out and providing your time to help
