FYI to any who may have had this problem.
Spent about 2 hours trying to figure out why Plex could not connect to my WD NAS server. My server was online and accessible via my PC. Also Plex could “see” my backup server on my PC.
Followed all troubleshooting tips to no avail. In the end decided to revert back to previous server update 1.32.7.7484 from newest 1.32.7.7571. (I generally keep the last 3 or 4 updates.)
Everything is fine now. The odd thing is that the new update DID work for a few days before it crapped out. Who knows why - very odd.
I will try out the next update and skip this one. Hope that will be okay.
