Cannot connect to PMS and not sure where to look for troubleshoot

Server Version#: (I assume Qunap firmware 4.4.3.1354) Plex 1.20.0
Player Version#: ?

I am honestly at the end of my rope trying to figure this out. I had set up a Qnap plex server for my parents and I’m kinda regretting it. Sometime in April they said they couldn’t connect to plex anymore. Using Qnap’s interface I found there was a time out in getting to the server (x.x.x.x:32400/web). These are the steps I have taken so far:

  1. uninstalled and re-installed PMS (including upgrading to newest release)
  2. Re pointed DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (seen in other forum post Plex on QNAP unreachable )
  3. Restarted
  4. Attempted SSH steps for a new Certificate
  5. Trying now to roll back to 1.17.0 and see if I can’t connect from there

Honestly at this point anything helps. Looking at the logs there isn’t a ton I could see that would prevent me from accessing PMS.

Just tried 1.17.0…no dice
I guess I’ll try the app center install again and see what the logs say then.

Just installed the one from the “app store” 1.16, these are the errors I see in the logs:

Bad install maybe? I’m not sure why it would have an issue on its own path, each time I remove PMS it gets rid of that ././.qpkg/PlexMediaServer

Restart PMS, and then zip the entire log directory and upload, instead of a snip of a log

Sorry I had planned on doing that as well. To these are the logs. Thanks for taking a look!

I got it fixed. My parents had UPnP enabled on their router and I had to go disable that and forward the port specifically. I’m not entirely sure why that fixed it, but I appreciate all the help! I don’t think I want to ever set a PMS up on a Qnap ever again. I’ll stick to windows next time…
