Server unavailable on QNAP NAS

Server Version#: 1.30.0
Player Version#: 4.103.2

I suddenly stopped being able to reach my server remotely from one day to the next. It was working fine and now suddenly it says it is unable to connect to the server securely. Since I am remote, I am unable to connect in order to check the settings. Why would it suddenly do this when I didn’t change any settings?

Using this FAQ,

  1. Create the PlexData shared folder
  2. Restart PMS once, then stop it, for the share to populate
  3. Now make ZIP of the “Logs” directory under “Plex Media Server”

I have the same problem, today I update my pms to the newest version on qnap(the last version on my qnap probably is 1.30.x), it alse couldn’t work anymore, and the same after reintall. could you please check my Logs?

@banbiantan

You have some issues.

First things first.

It looks like you’re trying to specify your own certificate.
There is a problem with the path specified. PMS is seeing a directory where a file is expected.

You are having network problems. The adapter is flapping all over the place.
PMS will not be able to work without stable network configuration

Now for the fun part.

  1. PMS won’t start because there’s a process stuck somewhere. (QTS doesn’t always shutdown cleanly
  • Either go in to it via ssh/putty and kill anything ‘Plex’ which is stuck
    -or-
  • Restart the NAS
  1. Once we find out what’s there, we’ll get it connected to your account again if needed … that’s the easy part
