Cannot get DVD Extras to display in Plex

I am attempting to add local media assets for DVD Extras for one of my TV Shows but the extra features do not get displayed in Plex.

I have verified the following:

The DVD Extras files use the following file organization scheme:
…/TV Shows/Show Name/Season 00/

  • Show Name S00E101 Interview with Director-interview.mkv
  • Show Name S00E102 Season 1 Deleted Scenes-deleted.mkv

Per the discussion on https://forums.plex.tv/t/tvshow-extras-showing-up-as-movies-movies-wont-show/469663/4 it is my understanding that if Plex cannot find the matching content on TheTVDB.com then it will simply display the episode numbers in Plex, however I’m not even getting the content to show up in the web portal.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

File names look ok so far.
With tv shows you don’t actually need to add the extra suffix (e.g. -interview or -deleted)… those only apply for movie extras. Specials should just show as episodes in season 0 / specials.

Do the rest of your episodes for that tv series show in Plex?

I think you just fixed it! Once I removed the Extra Suffix and did the Plex Dance I got all the files to appear. I didn’t realize it was only the movie files that require the suffix identification.
