That is not necessary, and in fact, not recommended. It needs to be enabled, but the bottom of the stack of active agents is fine. <—if you ever want to use an MP4 file, it’s ‘required’.

I think that’s probably the issue. The folder and the movie should be the same and both must be correct. Plex ignores everything in [Brackets] and Movie File Names do NOT have two (YEAR) fields.
If you do NOT have another ‘Version’ of this movie anywhere - fix the names and Plex Dance it:
If you DO have another ‘Version’ of this movie, remove both, Plex Dance and put the movie with the extras on first. Only after you see all your extras, you may add the other Version, but NOT in the movie folder with the extras. That folder is now, off limits.
“Local Media Assets” is an Agent source that loads local media files or embedded metadata for a media item. To do this, ensure the Agent source is enabled and topmost in the list:
Launch the Plex Web App
Choose Settings from the top right of the Home screen
Select your Plex Media Server from the settings sidebar
Choose Agents
Choose the Library Type and Agent you want to change
Ensure Local Media Assets is checked
Ensure Local Media Assets is topmost in the list
If you don’t think it’s necessary (or recommended), that help guide really needs to be clearer.
I, and every other Volunteer is well aware of what the support pages say - and every day we tell people how to fix it. Plex is wrong. The support pages are wrong. And that’s the long and short of it.
Anyway - LMA’s location is not the issue here (but it may be one - if you ever want to use an MP4 file).
I think the issue is your folder/file name - and to fix it, or even see if it is - you gotta Dance.
