Hi, just to share that I had same problem but found easy fix. Go to plex preferences>subtitles and switch from 'soft' to 'burned in'. That done the trick for me. :)
We can not find the path plex preferences> subtitles:-(

We have LG home cinema still can not see subtitles. on android phone everything works
Have you guys tried the following? It worked for me.
In Plex, go into "Settings"
Select "Server"
Scroll down to "Language"
Under "SubtitleMode" select "Always Enabled"

Still got an issue with my subs. Before launching a tv show it detecting that a sub is available.
Launching the video, nothing displayed, I need to go to menu and load the subtitle manually by searching it on the disk
Iām also having issues with subtitles. Itās a hit or miss, it will work for some videos and will not work for others. I have tried the solutions mentioned in this thread but still no luck.
