I first registered account A, A is the family manager, I invited account B into my family. Account B purchased the Lifetime Plex Pass. I want account B to become the family manager, so I canceled account A and reinstalled PLEX. Now account B can’t invite family users. There is no such option on the webpage. It seems that I need a family manager. There is no way to register the email account of account A again.
So how can account B invite family users now?
Thank you very much!
If account B is still a member of the Plex Home of user A, you might first need to leave that home.
But account A has been destroyed, and I cannot register and log in again with the mailbox of account A. Is there any way for account B to leave home by himself?
That’s described in the last chapter of the linked support article
Non-Admin Member
If a regular, full Plex account (not a Managed User) is a member of a Plex Home, they can choose to leave the Home. If they leave and are not the last (non-admin) member of the Home, then the Home will still exist even after they’re left.
When clicking the X button to leave home, a prompt will appear to confirm the decision.
Tip! : Even after leaving a Plex Home, you will still remain Friends with the admin and any existing library shares will remain.
But now I can’t invite family users, what should I do, my family member is only me, and I am not an administrator
Does this persist after completely reloading the web app?
Yes, it still persist. I even reinstalled the server and still have this problem.
You are still a member of the Plex Home of the deleted user.
You need to restore the deleted account (look into the email inbox), then you can leave this Home.
Do as you ask. This problem is solved, thank you very much
