Cannot log in to plex 'server' (sign in error)/Looking for servers

Hello everyone,

I recently canceled my monthly service with plex. Then I purchased the lifetime license because I realized I would commit to it vs Synology’s Videostation.

When I launch the PMS on Synology 918+, it takes me to the login screen where I provide the correct credentials. At first it shows sign in error(picture attached). Then i click sign in again and this time it logs me in, however it keeps searching for the server even though the synology is the server itself.

I have tried:
Resetting the password.
Changing the username.
I stopped the service in package center and deleted the Preferences.xml under /Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server.

None of these solutions have worked. I contacted billing and they said that nothing was wrong with my email address/account in their end.

Can someone please help?

I solved the issue. in case anyone else runs into this problem. I have an elaborate network set up with multiple subnets. The initial setup of the PMS on Synology requires you to be on the same subnet as the Synology.
