CANNOT Make an Unclaimed Server Go Away

Hello -

I have a mystery server within Plex which appears as unclaimed. I know this topic has been discussed in other threads but I’ve followed all suggestions without success and don’t see another thread with the same issue dimensions as mine.

I am using a Synology 220+.

I 'm not sure where this server originates, but I’ve been to Settings>Authorized Devices and have just one server that is my primary. I can also see the empty server from the server selection dropdown which leads me to the “Unclaimed Server” page.

I also have signed in from the Synology server as well as from the Plex Media Client and online and cannot see the Servers tab in Settings which is another issue.

Any suggestions to resolve this issue greatly appreciated. If further information is needed to help you experts in remediating the issue please let me know. Thanks in advance.

You can’t get rid of an unclaimed server. That by definition means you have PMS running on the machine you are using. Since you are on Windows, my guess is that you installed PMS using another Windows user account. Check your task manager to see if you have 2 Plex Media Servers running under different users. If so, then switch to that other user and uninstall PMS.

Thank you Movie Fan. I deleted the local instance and as a result no longer see the unclaimed server.
