Some videos downloaded onto Android phone cannot play. When navigating to the downloaded videos and attempting to play them, the error “An error occurred when attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again” displays. Some videos do not have a problem playing, and others do.
I have tried to reboot the app, I’ve tried to force-stop and restart the app, and I’ve tried to restart the phone and then start the app. None of those attempts worked. All the same videos are unable to be played after each attempt.
I’ve also attempted to edit and cancel the download (deleting the files from the android client), and redownload them. After that, the set of videos that are able to be played and not able to be played changes, but there are typically still videos that display the error and cannot be played.
I noticed that the android client app crashes multiple times while attempting to download. I am not sure if the downloaded video play problem is related to this app crash while downloading issue. Eventually, the videos still show that they have been downloaded after multiple app restarts, but maybe there are some critical errors associate with the files being downloaded when the crash happens… I don’t know.
Is there anyone who has been experiencing similar issues?
